Night Slugs' east coast soldier comes with four forward BASS hybrids. Like Bok Bok's take on UK Grime and House flavours, Kingdom brings a crucially detached approach to a more American flavoured palette, folding R&B, Footwork and Club-ready House in his ultra-synthetic, heat-seeking fusions. On his third full single he's riding with slow and sticky instrumental R&B on 'Let You No', spilling neon synth juice all o'er booming 808s and an earworming vocal snippet, while 'Stalker Ha' is another knowing nod to the Vogue scene, sparring with MAW stabs, disembodied divas and sullen subs for an afterhours Ballroom special. On a more saccharine vibe, the title track slips off into sugar crash R&Bliss while the mighty 'Hood By Air Theme' conducts an iced-out choral of gospel wraiths and Heinrich Mueller-esque synth voices in a hollowed riddim reminding of that amazing Total Freedom mix of 'Wake Sleep' on Fade To Mind.
