Debut album from San Diego indie band formerly - and controversially - known as The Muslims. The band has gone from strength to strength, having supported The Breeders, Bloc Partyand Franz Ferdinand before finally being signed to EMI imprint Heavenly for the UK. Their raw, insistent, thrashy, sloppy sound recalls the heyday of college rock, probably due inno small part to the production work of Eli Janney, former bassist of cult 90s Chicago alternative band Girls Against Boys.
