Debut album from the duo of James Mercer, frontman of The Shins, and Brian Burton aka Danger Mouse, probably best known as half of Gnarls Barkley. Both successful musicians in their own right, the pair met at the 2004 Roskilde Festival and bonded over a mutual appreciation of each other's work, before finally teaming up four years later to write music together. The resulting album combines lo-fi indie pop with sampladelic beats, funk and experimental electronic sounds, and includes the single 'The High Road'.
