2010 release from the German Post-Rock trio. Recorded at the legendary Faust studios, Speculation is a stunning return to form for the band (Robert & Ronald Lippok and Stefan Schneider). In the mid-'90s, along with Tortoise, To Rococo Rot made music where everything seemed possible - Post Rock, intricate rhythms and Electronics merged to make futuristic yet wonderfully organic sounds. Speculation could finally show To Rococo Rot as natural heirs to the Kosmiche and Krautrock music they grew up on.
