Hometapes band Bear In Heaven have recruited an impressive selection of remixers for this album, which carves a new shape out of their LP of last year, Beast Rest Forth Mouth. Among the production personnel are The Field, High Places, Justin K. Broadrick, Studio and Pink Skull, with new Warp band The Hundred In The Hands kicking off the sequence with a great ethereal disco remix of 'Beast In Peace'. Keeping the momentum up, Twin Shadow applies a hooky electro-popping makeover of 'Lovesick Teenagers' before The Field takes 'Ultimate Satisfaction' on an eight minute journey into echoing, motorik dream-pop. High Places' 'Drug A Wheel' probably features the most addictive beat on the album, tripping over itself in a filtered, liquidy fashion that by rights should go on a lot longer than the three minutes we end up with. Another highlight comes late on in the form of Studio's 'You Do You', which is, admittedly, fairly predictable in its fashioning of minimal Balearic grooves, but that doesn't mean it isn't excellent regardless.
